U Pana Boga w ogrodku (In God's Little Garden) is the sequal to U Pana Boga za piecem (1998). The story takes place in a small town called King's Bridge in eastern Poland. The town has beautiful rolling hills and is absolutely picturesque. The two most prominent men in the town are the police chief and the priest. While the chief tries to keep things safe the priest keeps all things spiritual in check.

Anna, the young wife of a successful businessman Alexey, accompanies her husband on a business trip. The day of return is coming, but Lyosha does not appear either at home or in the office. His phone is not answering, his work colleagues do not know where the boss has disappeared. In the process of searching for an entrepreneur, interesting information of a piquant nature suddenly pops up. Действие происходит в вымышленном государстве, у власти которого стоит военный диктатор (характер ландшафта, растительности, тип военной формы и используемого оружия — прямая аллюзия на Чили начала 1970-х годов). Диктатор, проделавший долгий путь от мясника до предводителя хунты, уже давно утратил доверие народа и постепенно теряет веру в себя. Он одинок. Его монологи о власти и собственной значимости перед одним из охранников Мануэлем адресованы самому себе. Мануэль, как и диктатор в прошлом, — выходец из небогатого сословия. Он верит диктатору, верит в возможность своей карьеры, ради которой совершает один безнравственный поступок за другим. Но когда военные теряют власть под напором народного восстания, также беспринципно и легко предаёт диктатора и убивает его.
