Saga Sarkola's mother is actress-singer Jonna Järnefelt and her father is actor-theatre director Asko Sarkola. Saga is their eldest child. Actor Sampo Sarkola and director and playwright Milja Sarkola are her step-siblings from Asko Sarkola's previous marriage.
