Julia discovers that she is pregnant with her ex-husband, but he does not know it. He is thirty years old and must decide what to do with the baby on the way. At night, it is not easy for him to sleep, and when he does he has distressing dreams. He dreams that he drowns, that he sinks deeper and deeper and can not get out of the water.

Two days later he resigned his position for "personal reasons". Since then journalists have been trying to interview him and to know about what happened but they have all failed. Uma visita de María ao escritório de previdência social revela que ela é muito pobre para colocar seu pai em um asilo, porém muito rica para receber benefícios. Ela pensa numa solução cruel: abandonar seu pai em uma praça. Augustín espera então pelo demorado retorno da filha.
