When Koichi Takahasi (Miutani) is transferred from Tokyo to a small village in Iwate Prefecture, they set up hoe in a two-hundred year-old farmhouse. The family is split between those who hate the move and those who are happy. Fumiko (Yasuda), the wife, is unhappy at the change and doesn’t get on with her elderly neighbours, Azumi (Hashimoto) is sad about having to transfer to a new school. Koichi’s mother, Sumiyo (Kusabue), rather likes the new community while young Tomoya Takahashi (Hamada) really enjoys the new move because he can play outdoors. Koichi takes note of the split in the family but finds himself struggling at his new job. Thankfully the house has Zashiki Warashi (yokai) living there who will unite them with their antics. Judging by the poster these antics won’t be terrifying.

In the Susukino red light district of Sapporo, a private detective (Yo Oizumi) drinks alcohol with his driver Takada (Ryuhei Matsuda) in his favourite bar. There he receives a phone call from a woman who identifies herself as Kyoko Kondo. The woman asks the detective to complete a simple task. The detective, having an excellent sense for danger, thinks the work is easy and accepts the case. The next day he begins the investigation.

As a child Takuma is diagnosed with a heart condition that requires care from a cardiologist. He soon becomes friends with his doctors young daughter Mayu while being treated at the hospital. One day Mayu overhears her father saying that Takumas condition is serious enough that he most likely wont live beyond the age of 20. Takuma isn't aware of this himself, however, so at 8-years-old he makes a promise to marry Mayu when they turn 20. Later in life, Takuma becomes aware that he wont be able to keep this promise and he begins distancing himself from Mayu in hopes of protecting her.

The main character is a man named Takashi Morioka, who has lost his job and his home due to a recession. He ends up falling into a trap set by the diabolical Yuki Michio, who happened to survive by chance an incident on an island 16 years ago where all the inhabitants were killed, and which caused him to become evil. In order to protect the things important to him, Takashi Morioka (Sato Takeru) is forced to stain his hands in evil.

Multiple points of view and time frames keeps the viewer on their toes trying to discern the grisly fate of these "lost" girls.

A direção de Shinji Takagi, e o estúdio que produziu o filme foi o Sunrise (Cowboy Bebop). A história acontece, em sua maior parte, no subsolo. Shouhei Ozaki é um jovem que mora com seu pai e seu irmão Satoshi Ozaki. A aventura dos irmãos começa quando Shouhei encontra um misterioso mapa. Então ele e seu irmão decidem seguir o percurso do mapa até o suposto tesouro escondido. Os irmãos Ozaki chamam dois amigos para ajudar na busca pelo tesouro. Com tudo planejado, eles partem para a aventura, e assim que colocam os pés no obscuro mundo subterrâneo, percebem como aquele mundo pode ser assustador e perigoso, apesar de conter segredos magníficos. O filme tem um enredo interessante, a idéia de desbravar o subsolo em busca de tesouros é original, já que geralmente as histórias estilo ”Em Busca do Tesouro Perdido“ quase sempre levam a ilhas ou lugares remotos.

In different parts of Tokyo, four young and seemingly healthy people suddenly die of heart failure at exactly the same moment. Reporter Kazuyuki Asakawa decides to investigate the deaths, and discovers that the four had stayed at a rural inn together just a week earlier. At the inn, he comes across a strange video that ends with a message saying that anyone who watches it will die exactly seven days later. Now the clock is ticking for Asakawa. Can he break the curse in time?

Akito Kobayashi has always had an interest in the occult, and when he learns to control demons though the help of a computer program he created and magnetite, the essence of human life, he plans to unleash hell on earth.
