Manolo Sarmiento is an Ecuadorian filmmaker, lawyer and journalist. He was a co-founder and since its foundation has been the executive director of the International Documentary Film Festival, Encuentros del Otro Cine - EDOC. He is known for La muerte de Jaime Roldós (2013), Problemas personales (2002) and Aunque tú no lo sepas (2000).
