José Manuel Caicoya arrived in Puerto Rico from Spain as a singer and actor. He acted an directed theater, TV shows, radio, dubbing, and movies. He married and had two daughters who now live in Spain and USA. He passed away in 1989 from cancer.

A journalist buys the statue before it is destroyed. Later, the townspeople discover that the statue isn't from who they thought it was and they decide to retrieve it. The journalist, however, doesn't want to give it back, giving rise to the dilemma.
