The Warrior and the Blind Swordsman
Dutch colonial army in West Java holds a martial arts tournament to select the best warrior to confront local warrior-freedom fighter Parmin (nicknamed Jaka Sembung). The winner is an obscure blind swordsman and the Dutch commander De Mandes (Gino Makasutji) commissions him. However, the swordsman is sympathetic with Jaka Sembung's cause and things get more complicated when magician seductress Dewi Magi as well as her guru (W. D. Mochtar) intervene on behalf of the Dutch.

Benny runs away from home and takes his father’s fortune, in retaliation for his father remarrying, and neglecting his first wife until she dies. He buys a villa in the village and befriends a pair of siblings who has also run away from their family for the sake of freedom. They live from stealing and blackmailing. Then there is Iis and Lydia, recent graduates from high school. Iis succeeds on becoming a singer while Lydia, who is about to be married off by her father to relieve debt, chooses to become a nightclub singer. Benny falls in love with Lydia. He stalks Lydia who is about to elope with her boyfriend. When the boyfriend is murdered and Lydia loses her eyesight, Benny redeems himself by helping Lydia with her treatment. He marries her even though Lydia is blind. After she is sure of her husband’s kindness, she agrees to have her eyes treated.
