Based upon the famous novel by H.G.Wells. A poor scientist named Griffin discovers a way to make things invisible. Since he has no money to continue his research, he decides to perform his only experiment on himself. After becoming invisible, Griffin has a lot of trouble trying to conceal this from other people.

Serebryakov, a retired professor and his beautiful, much younger second wife, Yeléna, visit their country estate, which funds their urban lifestyle. Vanya, brother of the Professor's first wife, who manages the farm estate, and the local Doctor Astrov, both fall under Yelena's spell, while complaining of the endless ennui of their provincial existence. Astrov is an experienced physician who performs his job conscientiously, but has lost all idealism and spends much of his time drinking. Sofya, the Professor's daughter by his first wife, who works to keep the estate going with her uncle Vanya, meanwhile suffers from lack of esteem over what she sees as her own lack of beauty, and from an unrequited love for Dr. Astrov. Matters are brought to a head when the Professor announces his intention to sell the estate, Vanya and Sofya's home, to achieve a higher income for himself and his wife.

The heroes of the film are simple construction workers who are burning at work. Upon learning that their colleagues in Kharkov have set a record, they mobilize to break it. São 3 episódios sobre Shurika, um estudante nerd. 1º - "Naparnik" ("Parceiro"). Shurika tem uma luta em um ônibus com um valentão chamado Fedya porque este não queria dar o lugar reservado para uma mulher grávida. Fedya é punido com trabalho comunitário num canteiro de obras onde Shurika trabalha em tempo parcial. Naturalmente, Fedya quer vingança. 2º - "Navazhdenie" ("Impressão Estranha"). É hora do exame final. Shurika está muito ocupado tentando encontrar material para estudar. De repente percebe o material necessário nas mãos de alguém. Segue essa pessoa pela cidade, por todos os lugares, tentando ler sobre o ombro. 3º - "Operatsiya Y" ("Operação Y"). Um diretor de depósito, tentando encobrir desfalques em seu estoque, contrata três criminosos para simular um roubo. Na noite da Operação "Y", a velha senhora que guarda o depósito pediu a seu inquilino, que obviamente é o Shurika, para substitui-la no serviço de guarda.
