No dia em que Portugal e Angola se defrontam no Mundial 2006, em Lisboa, moçambicanos, angolanos, guineenses, são-tomenses, cabo-verdianos e portugueses juntam-se num festim de cerveja, peixe frito e expectativa. Os mais nervosos são JJ e Mina, que aproveitam o jogo para anunciar à família dela que, apesar de não serem sequer noivos, vão ser pais. Tudo pode correr mal e, por isso, JJ leva consigo um padrinho com a barriga cheia de diamantes... Filme que integra o projeto Contado Por Mulheres. Um projeto inédito no audiovisual português que nos traz a frescura de novas realizadoras, todas elas de diferentes gerações e reconhecido talento em várias áreas como cinema, teatro, dança ou publicidade.

The life of the neighbourhood revolves around the construction of a Mausoleum for a deceased President that threatens to demolish the local residents’ houses. “Granma Nineteen and the Soviet’s Secret” is an adaptation of Ondjaki's novel.
