No final da Segunda Guerra Mundial, na Polônia, a enfermeira francesa Mathilde (Lou de Laâge) descobre que as freiras moradoras de um convento vizinho foram estupradas por soldados invasores. Muitas delas estão grávidas. Apesar da ordem de prestar socorro apenas aos franceses, Mathilde começa a tratar secretamente de todas as freiras e madres. Ela deve enfrentar os julgamentos das próprias pacientes, que se sentem culpadas por terem violado o voto de castidade, e se recusam a ter o corpo tocado por quem quer que seja, mesmo uma enfermeira.

O ano 1642 marca uma viragem na vida do famoso pintor holandês Rembrandt, que perde o seu estatuto de respeitada celebridade e se transforma num pobre desacreditado. Perante a insistência da sua mulher grávida, Saskia, Rembrandt aceita pintar a Milícia dos Mosqueteiros de Amesterdão, num retrato de grupo que mais tarde ficará conhecido como “A Ronda da Noite”. Rembrandt rapidamente se apercebe que há uma conspiração em marcha e através dessa pintura encomendada está disposto a pôr a nu os conspiradores, construindo a sua acusação sob a forma de um quadro que desvela o lado hipócrita e negro da época de ouro da sociedade holandesa.

Captain Witold Pilecki was a Polish intelligence officer during WWII who volunteered for a Polish resistance operation to get imprisoned in the German Nazi Concentration and Extermination Camp Auschwitz-Birkenau in order to gather intelligence and enable the Polish government-in-exile to inform the allies about the ongoing Holocaust in occupied Poland. The film also tells the story of Witold Pilecki’s fate at the hands of the Communist government after the end of WWII. The film is a reconstruction of the trial which took place in Warsaw during the communist regime in Poland. Captain Pilecki described his investigation as more cruel than his stay at Auschwitz.

The story of two very close lesbian friends: Małgosia and Mariola. One day, Małgosia learns that she is terminally ill. Together with her friend, she goes to a sanctuary famous for miracles. Along the way, they see the figures of the seven deadly sins and a number of characters from the New and Old Testaments. As the plot unfolds, the viewer learns that the whole journey is not real, but takes place only in the imagination, the inner space of the characters.

The film tells about mainly three people - Max, a bored, smart, poor University Professor of Philosophy; Ramzes, a mafia leader, cool, strong, merciless bully and Stella, Ramzes girlfriend.
