Betty Davis, born Mabry, is an American vocalist, songwriter, model and performer. As a model in 1966, Betty met jazz musician Miles Davis, who was 19 years her senior. They married in 1968. She influenced Miles greatly by introducing him to psychedelic rock guitarist Jimi Hendrix and funk innovator Sly Stone.
