Professional photographer Jamie's quantum physicist boyfriend Isaac has gone missing, and is presumed dead. Haunted by his disappearance while attempting to continue with life as normal, Jamie gets more and more wrapped up in figuring out exactly what happened, and is convinced that his disappearance has something to do with Isaac’s research into parallel dimensions. She continues to pursue him until she collides with a shattering revelation.

Carolinas foi filmado dentro da ocupação habitacional Carolina Maria de Jesus, em Belo Horizonte, em 2017, quando cerca de 200 famílias se estabeleceram em um prédio na região mais nobre da cidade por uma luta comum, o direito à moradia. O filme traz um retrato da força feminina presente ali, onde diferentes gerações de mulheres se encontraram, compartilhando seus saberes, histórias pessoais e visões de mundo, tendo em comum a realidade de luta que fortifica o lugar de fala, ação e atuação das mulheres na sociedade, dentro e fora das ocupações.

Uma encomenda para o Festival Temp des Images e Circular Festival de Artes Performativas em parceria com o CCB.
