O filme se passa na década de 70, durante o governo comunista na Bulgária e gira em torno de 4 homens, presos por crimes bárbaros numa prisão em Sofia, capital do país. Todos eles são conhecidos por apelidos: Bohemy, Cigano, Agulha e Cutelo (que significa facão). Bohemy uma recebe uma tarefa do Diretor que lhe renderá uma liberdade condicional, recruta outros presos para ajudá-lo, como é o caso de Cutelo. Cutelo, ao ver um pássaro preso em sua máquina, decide que só seguirá suas atividades após o resgate do animal, levando consigo seus colegas e fazendo dois reféns da guarda búlgara.

The presence of Vasil unlocked " storm " of unexplained events that will test the sanity of all. Everyone faces the the horror of their own fears and the invisible force that wants to control them, lurking in the dark and quietly knocks on the door to their minds.
