Robin Longstride (Russell Crowe) integra o exército do rei Ricardo Coração de Leão (Danny Huston), que está em plenas cruzadas. Lá conhece Sir Walter (Max von Sydow) e Marion (Cate Blanchett), respectivamente pai e esposa de Loxley.
