Quando Stanley (Luke Wilson) viu Diana Evans (Denise Richards) ficou apaixonado e pensou em convidá-la para sair, mas é muito inseguro para isto. Após um ano este convite ainda não foi feito. Mike (Ben Affleck), o melhor amigo de Stanley, diz que convidá-la agora é o momento perfeito, pois ela acabou com o namorado. Stanley a convida e ela aceita prontamente. Ele sonha com a noite perfeita, mas, após ter pego Diana e quando iam para o teatro, ele atropela Phil (Jay Lacopo), um sem-teto, e isto gera muitas confusões.

His aging father knows his son is not cut out for the job, so he sends him to "Mafia University".
