Little Pu spends a summer in Norrland with all his relatives. He and his brother get to hear the story about the watchmaker who hung himself, learns to shoot with a bow and follow his father on a bicycle trip.

No dia de seu aniversário, enquanto comemora com sua família, Alexander e todos recebem através da televisão uma notícia inesperada: a Terceira Guerra Mundial, e consequentemente um holocausto nuclear haviam começado. Em desespero, mesmo tendo antes revelado não sentir mais fé em Deus, Alexander implora aos céus que aquilo não aconteça, e oferece tudo o que tem para que um milagre afaste o horror da guerra.
