François is a literary scholar and drinker. His relationships with women are limited to one year, his life is sufficiently happy. Until the day when charismatic Muslim politician Mohamed Ben Abbes becomes president in France, introduces patriarchy and polygamy and loses his job. In his growing loneliness, Rector Rediger's offer to resume his teaching at the Sorbonne reaches him on one condition: he must convert to Islam.

Sam and Anna are part of the hip, vegan, green, eco-friendly, upper-class subculture of Berlin. Anna is a successful doctor, and Nick works in advertising. However, life in Germany's capital is fast-paced and stressful, so the two of them decide to take the next step towards the ideal "eco lifestyle" and move out to the country. As they arrive, they find that life in the country is much less relaxing than they expected, as the rather eccentric locals keep them on their toes.

Marten (Edgar Selge) é um professor de música alemão que chega em Ouro Preto, no Brasil, a fim de resgatar uma partitura original composta por um dos filhos de Bach. Na cidade, o professor se envolve em algumas confusões e será ajudado pelo mineiro Candido (Aldri da Anunciação). Com o tempo, o organizado Marten terá que se adaptar à rotina brasileira e Candido o incentivará a dar aula de música para crianças da cidade. Aos poucos, ele reaprende o prazer e alegria e ensinar às crianças que estavam até então desorientadas.
