Abir Sabri is an Egyptian actress. She was born in 1971 in Cairo, and studied law at Ain Shams University. She started her artistic career as a show host, until she was picked up by director Ali Abdel Khaliq for a role in Al Those Who Were Saved from The Fire with Amr Abdel Gelil and Tarek Lotfy in 1994. Her second collaboration with the same director came in the film Women's Doorstep alongside Nabila Ebeid and Farouq Al Fishawy. She worked afterwards in numerous films, before taking a temporary hiatus after wearing the Islamic veil. While wearing the veil she worked as a host on religious shows, but then returned to acting in 2010 to appear in films like Feelings, Light of My Eyes and Birds of the Nile.
The plot sheds light on women's issues through the suffering of several women living on an island, where they are exposed to several problems and crises due to some men's lack of understanding of their rights.
