Metin Erksan (1 de janeiro de 1929 - 4 de agosto de 2012), nascido em İsmail Metin Karamanbey, foi um diretor de cinema e historiador de arte turco.
Metin Erksan obteve sucesso com filmes que retratam os problemas das pessoas do campo que ele adotou da literatura. Susuz Yaz ganhou o Prêmio Urso de Ouro em Berlim, Alemanha. Yılanların Öcü (1962) foi premiado em 1966 no Festival de Cinema de Carthage, na Tunísia. Ele foi eleito o "Melhor Diretor" com seu filme Kuyu (1968) na primeira edição do International Adana Golden Boll Film Festival. Junto com o renomado cineasta Halit Refiğ, ele foi creditado como o representante do cinema nacional na Turquia.
A partir de 1970, dirige filmes que visam o sucesso comercial. Em 1974-1975, ele filmou cinco histórias turcas (Hanende Melek de Sabahattin Ali, Geçmiş Zaman Elbiseleri de Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar, Bir İntihar de Samet Ağaoğlu, Müthiş Bir Tren de Sait Faik Abasıyanık e Sazlık de Hulusi Koray) como curtas para a televisão. Seu filme de 1977, O Anjo da Vingança - The Female Hamlet, foi inscrito no 10º Festival Internacional de Cinema de Moscou. Seu filme de terror de 1974 Şeytan é conhecido como o "Exorcista Turco" devido aos enredos semelhantes dos filmes.
Dirigiu 42 filmes, 2 dos quais ele próprio produziu; e ele escreveu os roteiros de 29 filmes. Ele também estrelou o filme de 1998 Alim Hoca como personagem-título.
