Italian director and screenwriter.  Born in Arona, Piedmont, Caligari began his career as a documentarist, often collaborating with Franco Barbero; his first work was Perché droga (1975).He made his feature film debut in 1983, with the drug-centered drama Toxic Love, which won the De Sica Award at the 40th Venice International Film Festival. Only fifteen years later he directed another work, the neo-noir The Scent of the Night. He completed the editing of his third and last film, Non essere cattivo, a few days before his death for a tumor. (wikipedia)

O longa se passa nos anos 1990, na periferia de Roma, o hedonismo parece reinar. Um mundo que gira em torno do dinheiro, da luxúria, das casas noturnas e das drogas. Vittorio e Cesare, com apenas 20 anos, procuram sucesso em meio a esse cenário. Porém, ser iniciado nesse meio tem seu custo e Vittorio abandona Cesare para se salvar. Os laços que unem os jovens é tão forte que eles não se separam de fato, apesar de Cesare estar se afundando com a partida do amigo, mas Vittorio imagina um futuro para eles. Juntos.
