A guerra não acaba quando a paz é assinada. Um grupo de jovens prisioneiros alemães é entregue ao sargento dinamarquês Rasmussen no final da Segunda Guerra Mundial. Rasmussen ordena a desativação de mais de dois milhões de minas enterradas na costa dinamarquesa, apesar de ser proibido pela Convenção de Genebra.
