Durante um protesto contra a ditadura militar chilena, no dia 4 de setembro de 1984, o padre francês André Jarlan foi assassinado na casa paroquial da ocupação La Victoria. Clamando por justiça, os moradores da ocupação marcham a pé até a catedral de Santiago, dando também um testemunho de amor e solidariedade ao seu pároco. Paralelamente, o documentário conta a história da ocupação La Victoria ocorrida em 1957, retratando a forte organização dos habitantes, que foi essencial para enfrentar a penúria econômica e a repressão sofrida por um dos principais bastiões populares de oposição à ditadura militar. O filme ainda traz Pierre Dubois, também pároco da La Victoria, que desempenha um papel de liderança na tentativa de deter a violência contra os habitantes da ocupação.
