One day, Hye-sook is tricked by her mother into visiting her hometown. When she finds out that her mother is fine and tries to leave for Seoul, she hears about the passing of Taek-gyu's father. After the funeral, Hye-sook plans to return to the city. Gi-ju, a struggling writer, tries to drown himself at Andong lake but Taek-gyu saves him. Hye-sook used to draw for Gi-ju's writings when they were young. The two were each other's first love and through the reunion, they are about to rekindle their old romance.

Um bandido violento conhecido "Crocodilo" vive de baixo de uma ponte perto do rio Han, em Seul, junto com um menino e um velho sem-teto. "Crocodilo" salva uma bela jovem Hyun-Jung do suicídio por afogamento, mas apenas para usá-la sexualmente. No entanto, por algum motivo, a mulher, traída pelo seu amante, acaba por ficar com o "Crocodilo", e uma peculiar amizade familiar se forma entre os quatro moradores de rua. "Crocodilo" tem cada vez mais problemas por causa do seu temperamento violento, e eventualmente Hyun-Jung decide tentar o suicídio novamente.
