Knut Erik Jensen's personal visual poem, an Elegy for a culture that no longer exists. Stella Polaris is a personal document in fiction form of a bygone era and culture in the northernmost part of Norway. At the same time described the current Finnmark in the scene from our own time. The story is narrated by a woman's eyes, both as children in the busy fishing village and as an adult in the present. She returns to the birthplace and remember how life was before the fishing village was closed. Love story between her and her childhood friend is central to the action. 'Stella Polaris' is in the form of associative told with an unconventional dramaturgy.

Sara Philips is pressured into smuggling 2 kg heroin into Norway. She meets up with the narcotics agent Ted Hansen and lets him use her in a scheme to catch the powerful people in the drug cartel. While hiding in Ted's safe house, Ted himself tries to catch the badguys. Fatigued and frustrated with an inefficient police department, untouchable criminals and Sara's sexual provocations, he's on the verge on giving up. However, suddenly Ted gets a clue. A clue leading him to Karachi.

Herman works as a delivery boy for a flower shop after school. One day delivers a bouquet to Rosa Stern, a woman in her early 40s who lives behind heavy curtains in an apartment filled with a mysterious atmosphere. In the coming weeks, Herman will receive more bouquets to be delivered to Rosa. Rosa's visits are becoming increasingly important to him.
