The Great Zoo of Mr. Vanel
At Vanel's zoo, there is Rafael, Ludovic and the elegant Mr. Vanel. There is also Philippe, the little monkey, and a very discreet panda, not to mention the Dutch tourists. When Marthe, the young and inexperienced accountant arrives to save the zoo's finances, she has no idea of the strange world she is entering into. That's because Mr. Vanel's zoo is not exactly an ordinary zoo.
Denis
Roger L’Enclume
Twice Vincent thinks he has found the woman of his life. Twice his ideal woman left him for the same man: Denis. Now Vincent is pursuing a happy love affair with Anna, but he fears that history is about to repeat itself. He tries to understand his adversary. Mookie
Valdez
A talking chimp, a jolly monk and a boxer on the run make an unlikely team in this French comedy for children. Brother Benoit, a French monk working with underprivileged youth in Mexico, one day finds a sick chimpanzee in need of water and medical attention. He brings the chimp back to his mission and nurses her back to health, naming her Mookie. A year later, Brother Benoit discovers Mookie can not only play basketball, but she can talk, the result of an exposure to radiation from a meteor crash. Primate experts from America are eager to get their hands on the little ape, but the Brother will allow no experiments to be performed on her. The Brother recruits Antoine, a boxer down on his luck, to help Mookie and the Brother flee to Mexico City, but when it turns out Antoine is wanted by the Mexican Mafia for not throwing a fight, all three must make tracks to insure their safety.
Walking a Tightrope
Le directeur du cirque en tournée
Marcel Spadice is a famous writer with a criminal background and a penchant for handsome men. From time to time, he induces an attractive female admirer to arrange for him to be introduced to nice, talented young men who happen to be sufficiently handsome to interest him. At other times, the endless effort to woo these men (who are most often heterosexual) grows wearying, and he goes to the train station to pick up soldiers looking for some easy money and a night's lodging. In this film, the writer has grown enamored with a young circus laborer who wants to move up in the world, literally, by becoming a tightrope walker. Marcel cadges an introduction, and for a time sponsors the young man's training. However, when the boy suffers an accident which renders him unfit for his chosen vocation, Marcel loses interest in him and takes up with another young man.
