Seu novo trabalho faz com que viaje para Hong Kong, já que precisa encontrar Shintao (Takuya Kimura), o filho desaparecido de um milionário. Ao chegar ele conta com a ajuda de Meng Zi (Shawn Yue), um ex-colega que agora trabalha na polícia local. Uma pista encontrada por Kline o leva a Su Dongpo (Byung-hun Lee), o gângster local, e sua namorada Lili (Tran Nu Yên-Khê). Entretanto as lembranças de Hasford (Elias Koteas), um serial killer que causou a saída de Kline da força policial, o atrapalha para desvendar o caso.
