Ao cobrir tantos anos de história, as mais diversas fases são mostradas aqui. Vemos o ápice dos discos de vinil, surgimento de CD's e os problemas que as atualizações da indústria fonográfica trouxeram para ela mesma. O roteiro balanceia bem o que há de positivo e negativo no legado da "Tower Records", sem ficar se lamentando ou precisando se vangloriar de seu valoroso passado. É um equilíbrio muito saudável que poderia entrar em xeque dado tema abordado. O que ajuda, nesse sentido, é o fato de que soma-se a narrativa do longa o próprio desenvolvimento de artistas e músicos pelo tempo. Aparecimento de novas tendências entre bandas e o que se produzia no mainstream ou no underground em determinados momentos.
