After a conflict with a young director, actor Yuri leaves the theater, taking the buffoon's costume of his hero from the play King Lear. The stage character becomes part of the play of Yuri's real life. A drunken mother, a great actress in the past; wife, with a chill in a relationship; and the passengers of his taxi take part in this action.

Ivan Lashin, a young man who lives with his mother in the country and works at home, met director Vitaly Suslin. The young man told the director about his life, they wrote a script together and thus the feature film "Head. Two Ears" was born, in which Ivan played himself as the main character. Russia’s most important festival Kinotavr declared it the best script and the film also received the award of the Russian Film Critics Guild. Now, a few years later, Vitaly and Ivan have made a new film which talks about Ivan’s life after festivals: has he changed, what is he dreaming about?

Mikhail is 59 years old, and for more than 30 years he works at the motor transport enterprise, where he also lives in a self-made workshop. He has a beloved pregnant daughter, a hobby to draw paintings and a favourite car of a heavenly color. Natasha, a warehouse keeper, offers him a deal: to hand over the waste metal stored at the warehouse to the scrap metal reception center and divide the money. Mikhail takes pity on Natasha and agrees. On the road to the reception center he gets stopped by the police. In order to avoid litigation, Mikhail asks the director of the company not to file a theft report. The director agrees but fires Mikhail anyway. Now he’s left homeless and unemployed…
