A re-edited Italian-language dubbed version of Godzilla, using as a basis the U.S. version Godzilla, King of the Monsters! (1956), plus WWII newsreel footage and clips from other monster 1950's movies. The re-edited film was then colorized via a process called Spectrorama 70 consisting of applying various colored gels to the black and white footage. The film's opening and ending also features new music composed by musician Vince Tempera (under the pseudonym Magnetic System).

Submarine commander Ken White is forced to suddenly submerge, leaving his captain and another crew member to die outside the sub during WW II. Subsequent years of meaningless navy ground assignments and the animosity of a former sailor, leave White (now a captain) feeling guilty and empty. His life spirals downward and his wife is about to leave him. Suddenly, he is forced into a dangerous rescue situation at the start of the Koren War.... reassigned to the same submarine where all of his problems began.
Richard Widmark encabeça um elenco de primeira linha que conta com Jack Palance, Robert Wagner, Karl Malden, Richard Boone e Jack Webb, rumo à batalha em uma ilha fortemente fortificada pelo inimigo. O objetivo da missão é descobrir de onde são lançados os foguetes japoneses no interior da ilha. Avançando em meio à selva infestada de inimigos, eles estão sempre em constante alerta. Nesse processo, o oficial sênior (Widmark) transforma-se de ex-professor em líder empedernido e seu heterogêneo esquadrão se funde em uma coesa unidade de luta. Até o Último Homem foi dirigido por Lewis Milestone, vencedor de um Oscar (Melhor Diretor, 1930) por "Sem Novidade no Front".
