In 1934, Bolivia is at war with Paraguay. Liborio and Ticona and other Bolivian indigenous soldiers are lost in the hell of the Chaco, under the commandment of German Captain Kundt. They're looking for the Paraguayan enemy that they haven't seen for months, and that they will never find. They leave together in a search that will make them realize, progressively, the destiny they have been pushed into and the inevitable condition of a defeated troop. They're walking like shadows, wandering forever in the middle of dust and silence.

Marcela’s world becomes strange and unfamiliar after her sister Rina dies. She feels lost in her own house, and her relationship with her husband and children seems to suffer. But when Nacho, a young friend of her daughter’s, unexpectedly drops by, she starts to talk and walk with him. Gradually Marcela begins to have conversations with relatives from another dimension.

Three farmers work on a farm in Entre Ríos, a sparsely populated lowland region of Argentina traversed by rivers. Their crops are affected by ‘black frost’ which threatens to destroy their harvest. One day, a young woman appears at their door; blithely and self-assuredly she begins to influence their familiar routines. The bewildered farmers yield to Alejandra’s interventions: she dons Heribertos’ dead wife’s clothes, accompanies Benigno to a greyhound race and wins young Lucas’ friendship. Shortly afterwards, the frost disappears.

For Hugo, a solitary taxi driver from Buenos Aires, the total, absolute and exclusive passion is San Lorenzo, which is not only an active part of his past, but a healthy obsession that bathes that gives color to his life. Until a single mother and her son cross their path. Now there will be someone to share the passion with. Maybe something more.

Enquanto se bronzeiam, falam sobre seus sonhos. Todas desejam viajar para algum lugar distante, onde possam tomar sol em uma praia de verdade. E então as amigas fazem um pacto: elas vão economizar dinheiro juntas para passar o próximo Ano Novo em Havana.
