Uma sacola cheia de dinheiro some de um cassino em uma reserva indígena. O dono do cassino (Russell Means) e o juiz da cidade (Michael Lerner) contratam um assassino profissional (Chris O´Donnel) para encontrá-la. O xerife local (Keith David) já esteve a procura dela e um policial esteve á procura dela e um policial (Michael Rapaport) a teve nas mãos temporariamente, mas, depois a perdeu de vista quando sacolas idênticas se misturaram numa estação de ônibus. Enquanto isto, um andarilho de uma jovem mulher e que roubou a sacola da estação, se une a uma garçonete (Rachael Leigh Cook) e os dois acabam sendo perseguindo por todos.
