(From the about page on his website: http://tomoyoshi-joko.com/profile.html) Born in Ehime prefecture in May 1984. I came to Tokyo in 2003, entered Dept. of Animation, Faculty of Arts at Tokyo Polytechnic University as the first graduate, and studied under Taku Furukawa. After graduation, I went on to enter the graduate school of the same university in pursuit of animation. Having graduated in March 2009, I am currently a freelance animation creator while working at the Tokyo Polytechnic University as a part-time instructor. In 2010, I formed a creative unit “Decovocal” with my partner Ichinose. And since 2019, I have been a permanent director of Japan Animation Association. The representative works, “Mr. Cloud and Mr. Rain,” “BUILDINGS” and “Lizard Planet,” have been put on the screen in various countries worldwide and received a number of awards.

A lizard wrapped in water represents Earth, which is composed of both land and sea. For human beings, living on this earth feels quite natural. However, the earth is both an enormous living organism and a planet in the infinite universe. It would be gratifying if, after seeing this work, the viewer could feel that we live life on a planet that itself is a living existence in space.

it is a story of a skyscraper that has suddenly appeared in a town. The skyscraper looks down on the low-rise buildings and wants to stand out, causing fear and annoyance among the buildings around it. As a result, it is hated. And, the town goes under water by a sudden storm.
