FBI agent Max Reed witnesses Dr. Tetsu Segawa - a researcher for the mysterious Chronos Corporation - being murdered. Dr. Segawa had stolen an alien device known as "The Guyver" from Chronos. College student Sean Barker, whose girlfriend's father was Dr. Segawa, finds the Guyver's hiding spot while watching the forensic team investigating the crime scene.

Story
Imagine possuir uma armadura biotecnológica que te aumenta imensamente a força, tem lâminas de braço, dispositivo pra controle gravitacional, lasers, canhões sonoros, etc. Legal né? "nos seus sonhos do'aho". Desde que acidentalmente achou e ativou a unidade do Guyver One, a vida de Fukamachi Sho se transformou no inferno. Vivendo no limiar do perigo a cada segundo, o garoto é perseguido constantemente pelos "donos" da unidade, uma Organização Secreta chamada Chronos, que controla todo canto do planeta por trás da máscara da sociedade. Além do domínio praticamente mundial, a organização também faz experimentos biológicos com humanos desde o início dos tempos, transformando-os em Soldados Monstros com super poderes para manterem o controle da Sociedade. Agora Sho tem que fugir e contar com os poderes do objeto que praticamente destruiu sua vida para proteger o que de bom restou dela.
