From a family of Russified Italian circus actors Brunos (at the end of the 19th century, Papi Brunos is known as an acrobat, a member of circus pantomimes). Parents of Boris Brunov owned many genres, but mainly worked on the wire (equilibrists) and like super-sharp arrows from rifles. At ten years old, the boy first entered the playpen in his parents' room. Over time, he mastered many genres: juggling, acrobatics, playing the concertina and xylophone. From childhood, the circus instilled in him a sense of publicity, ease, and relaxedness. In 1971, he graduated from the Higher Director's Courses, having received a diploma of stage director and stage show. Since 1976, he taught at the GITIS Variety Faculty (course leader). Since 1983 - Artistic Director and Director of the Moscow Variety Theater. Member of the jury of many All-Union and All-Russian competitions of pop artists. Vice-President of the Moscow Institute of Contemporary Art and Design (International Union of Pop Artists). Member of a number of public organizations: Presidium of the Central House of Arts; Moscow City Peace Fund and others. Brunov was admitted to the Central Clinical Hospital due to a sharp deterioration in his health at the end of August 1997. A few days later, the artist became ill with his heart, and he was urgently transferred to the intensive care unit. However, all attempts by doctors to save Brunov were in vain. Brunov died at the 76th year of his life, not having lived four days before the holiday song prepared by him on September 6 at Tverskaya Square “Songs of Moscow”. The artist was buried on September 4 in Moscow at the Novodevichy cemetery (plot number 5).
