Um carro em fuga bate em um caminhão cheio de material tóxico, provocando uma explosão que sela ambas as saídas de um túnel subterrâneo entre Manhattan e Nova Jersey. Esta situação leva Kit Latura, ex-chefe dos Serviços Médicos de Emergência da cidade, a tentar encontrar um caminho para salvar os sobreviventes antes que o ar acabe ou o Rio Hudson inunde tudo.

An idealistic but struggling actor finds his life unexpectedly complicated when he stops a robbery while wearing the costume of Captain Avenger, a superhero character of a film he is hired to to promote. He decides to dabble at being a superhero only to find that it is more difficult and dangerous than he ever imagined.
