Die-hard fans of the 1980s, Vincent and Antoine run a company that supplies doubles of faded stars throughout the whole of France. What starts out as a promising business venture ends up as a calamity when Vincent and Antoine have over forty engagements booked but no one to attend them. They then have a brainwave. Why not get in touch with the real stars of the 1980s and persuade them to make a comeback? Why make do with an imitation when you can have the real McCoy?

O filme narra uma história real que descreve em detalhes as facetas do ataque à Gruta de Ouvéa, na Nova Caledônia (Oceania, Oceano Pacífico). Envolvido em um suspense contínuo e crescente, o caso do ataque ao posto policial de Fayaoué, onde morrem 4 guardas e 30 outros são feitos reféns, será ou não resolvido à força pelo exército francês? Tudo acontece em 12 dias, no intervalo entre o primeiro e o segundo turno das eleições presidenciais na França, disputadas por Mitterrand e Chirac, a esquerda e a direita, um Presidente, o outro, 1º Ministro. A luta interna entre eles e as próprias eleições tem influência direta no campo, onde acontece o estado de guerra. Ambos disputam o apoio de Le Pen, da extrema direita, e se organiza assim um golpe de força para manter a colônia. Dessa colônia a França explora o níquel usado nos trilhos das ferrovias.

A sixteen year-old girl living with her widowed father in the Ardennes forest befriends a twenty-two year old orphan whose manipulative aunt contrives to keep him immature in the feature directorial debut of filmmaker Stéphan Carpiaux. A tragic accident has claimed the life of Alex's mother, and now the grieving teen will be forced to grow up before her time. Though Alex's father Frank wages a valiant struggle to overcome the apathy that consumes him following the loss of his beloved wife, the situation grows complicated when the naïve adolescent unintentionally compounds her father's pain. As tenderness threatens to give way to desire, Alex makes the acquaintance of twenty-two year old Hector. Later, as a friendship begins to blossom between Alex and Heather, Alex becomes acutely aware of just how damaging her relationship with her father has become.
