"L'Artifice et le factice" is the episode that covers the period from January 1, 1988 to December 31, 1988 of my filmed Notebooks.

Les Contes Secrets ou les Rohmériens features interviews with 16 actors who have appeared in Rohmer's films, and they talk on camera about his unusual working methods, his personality, and his spare but evocative signature style. Among the thespians who share their memories are Jean-Louis Trinitignant, Marie-Christine Barrault, Zouzou, Jean-Claude Brialy, Béatrice Romand, Françoise Fabian, and Andre Dussolier; the film also includes rare footage of Rohmer himself at work on the set of his 1978 effort Perceval.

Magali, proprietária de uma vinícola na França, não tem um relacionamento sério desde a morte do marido. Sua amiga de infância Isabelle decide publicar um anúncio de jornal em busca do par perfeito para ela, e acaba conhecendo o simpático Gérald.

O filme consiste em quatro episódios da relação de duas jovens: Reinette, uma camponesa, e Mirabelle, uma parisiense. O primeiro episódio, L'Heure Bleue/The Blue Hour , narra o encontro e o desejo de Reinette de compartilhar a Blue Hour, um momento de silêncio entre os sons naturais da noite e o amanhecer. O segundo episódio, Le Garcon de Cafe/The Waiter , gira em torno de um café e um garçom difícil. No terceiro, Le Mendiant, La Kleptomane, et L'Arnaqueuse/The Beggar, the Kleptomaniac and the Hustler , as meninas discutem suas opiniões divergentes sobre as pessoas à margem da sociedade: mendigos, ladrões e vigaristas. No quarto episódio, La Vente du Tableau/Selling the Painting, Reinette e Mirabelle conseguem vender uma das pinturas de Reinette a um negociante de arte, enquanto Reinette finge ser muda e Mirabelle, agindo como se não conhecesse Reinette, é quem fala.

No filme O Raio Verde, Éric Rohmer apresenta o sofrimento de uma personagem que se sente deslocada da época em que vive. No início, Delphine não sabe o que fazer quando sua amiga cancela a viagem que tinham planejado juntas. O Raio Verde conta, então, o que vai surgindo dia após dia antes e durante as suas férias. Logo seus amigos acabam conseguindo algumas alternativas. Ela passa uns dias na praia, outros na montanha, alguns em Paris, outros em uma nova praia… mas nada a satisfaz. Nesse sentido, ela sempre se sente solitária, à procura de um substituto para seu ex-noivo. Essencialmente, Delphine é pessoa que não se adapta aos tempos em que vive. Seus ideais românticos afastam a ideia do sexo casual, e esse mesmo pensamento a leva também a não consumir carne, pois considera uma violência com os animais. Seu romantismo reflete também uma tendência a acreditar piamente na sorte, e vê significados nas cartas que encontra por acaso e na visão de um raro raio verde.

Couple is a cinematic series of portrait films, which show two persons, who free to do what they wish, in a fixed camera shot of 3:20 minutes.

A short film directed by and starring Rosette, best known for her acting work with Éric Rohmer, featuring a star-studded cast and crew of regular players from Rohmer films. With the help of her friends, Rosette takes advantage of a gullible stranger passing by in order to sell him all her roses.

But the man's visit becames a nightmare. He kidnaps Franca and says he killed his wife on that same yellow rug. Then Franca kills the man. But is that really all that has happened? And who was that strange man?

Cinématon is a 156-hour long experimental film by French director Gérard Courant. It was the longest film ever released until 2011. Composed over 36 years from 1978 until 2006, it consists of a series of over 2,821 silent vignettes (cinématons), each 3 minutes and 25 seconds long, of various celebrities, artists, journalists and friends of the director, each doing whatever they want for the allotted time. Subjects of the film include directors Barbet Schroeder, Nagisa Oshima, Volker Schlöndorff, Ken Loach, Benjamin Cuq, Youssef Chahine, Wim Wenders, Joseph Losey, Jean-Luc Godard, Samuel Fuller and Terry Gilliam, chess grandmaster Joël Lautier, and actors Roberto Benigni, Stéphane Audran, Julie Delpy and Lesley Chatterley. Gilliam is featured eating a 100-franc note, while Fuller smokes a cigar. Courant's favourite subject was a 7-month-old baby. The film was screened in its then-entirety in Avignon in November 2009 and was screened in Redondo Beach, CA on April 9, 2010.

What is real and what is fiction? Faced with writer's block with his novel, Lewis Fielding turns to a film script about a woman finding herself after his wife Elizabeth returns from Baden Baden. She didn't quite find herself there but had a brief encounter in a lift with a German who says he is a poet.
