Michail Botevski was born in Padarsko, Plovdiv region, Bulgaria. On the stage he has appeared as sixth-grader. He has more than 60 roles in theater productions and over 30 appearances in the cinema. After graduating from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgaria in 1974 in the class of Professor Nadezhda Seykova, he became an actor in Yambol Drama Theater. After a year and a half he joined the troupe of the Youth Theatre in Sofia. Since 1977 to 1994 he was an actor at the Plovdiv Drama Theatre "N. O. Masalitinov ". Since 1994 to 2010 he was artistic director of Theatre Studio "Kuker" at the Municipal Children Complex in Plovdiv. Since 2008 he is an assistant professor of acting at Plovdiv University in the class of Assoc. Prof. Violeta Gindeva.

The Boy Turns Man
The action centers on Ran and his schoolmates who are in the last year of school. They are only a few days away from the day when they will have to make a decisive choice: what are they going to be, and what is more important, how are they going to live? In the whirlpool of meetings with different people and mainly with three women, the filmmakers are trying to see the future of their main character. His schoolmate Mariana wants to lead him into family life. The pop singer Neli is the very incarnation of adventurism. However, he is most deeply touched by the salesgirl in the near-by coffee shop Tintyava. This is a wordless affair in which each glance exchanged betrays the piercing excitement of impossible love.
