A lone man avenges the death of his father.

Donald (Barry Primus) promises Sam (Charlie Robinson) the best day of his life. This seems unlikely, given they are both homeless men mired in the bleak landscape of Los Angeles' Skid Row. Moreover, the source of Donald's optimism is a mere $20 bill (called a "Jackson") which he bummed off a passing businessman (Steve Guttenberg) earlier that day. But Donald vows that with it, they can do anything, and drags a reluctant Sam off in search of adventure.

When tragedy strikes on 9/11, Arjun Singh (Kavi Raz) and his family -- devout Sikhs who emigrated from India to the suburbs of Los Angeles -- suddenly find themselves as targets of prejudice and discrimination. Broken Harvest is set in 1950's Ireland framed by modern-day New York. It deals with a bitter feud between two farmers who had taken opposite sides in the Irish Civil War many years before and who had also fought for the love of the same woman.
