Egyptian writer and director who was born in Minya city in 1987. He won two film grants: MDB Film Festival grant award 2018 for "Going" short film screenplay, and Alexandria Short Film Festival grant award 2020 for "The Green Folder" story and screenplay. Ahmed AL Shamandy was graduated from the faculty of engineering at Minya University in 2009. He worked in software and media fields as a developer, and a visual artist, before heading to study cinema independently.
