First Assistant Director (Prep)
Sean Jones (Nathan Phillips) é um adolescente que presenciou uma brutal execução ligada ao crime organizado, sendo a testemunha-chave daquele que a mídia chama como sendo o julgamento do século. Ele é encaminhado ao tribunal pelo agente do FBI Nelville Flynn (Samuel L. Jackson), que o leva de avião até Los Angeles. Entretanto o que eles não sabem é que a máfia contratou Yakama, um assassino profissional, para impedir que Sean chegue ao seu destino. Para atingir seu objetivo ele decide liberar centenas de serpentes venenosas dentro do avião, o que logo faz com que tripulação e passageiros entrem em pânico.

"Lovers, Liars and Lunatics" is a dark, screwball comedy about a neurotic suburban family that gets held hostage in their home by two inept burglars. Only as the night progresses do we realize that the Machiavellian machinations of the family are actually drawing the burglars further and further into their nefarious familial schemes, until reality blurs, and we no longer know who we should be rooting for: the family, or the burglars.
