Tommaso é parte da tradicional família Cantone, proprietária de uma fábrica de massas no sul da Itália. Ele viaja de Roma, onde almeja uma carreira de escritor, para uma reunião com todos. Seu irmão será anunciado como eleito para tocar os negócios da família e Tommaso pretende aproveitar a ocasião para contar a todos sobre sua homossexualidade. Mas ele não esperava que seu irmão Antônio tomaria a dianteira e comunicaria aos familiares que também é homossexual.

New year's eve at "The Islands" condos. An aging countess's party is crashed by the soccer team from her gigolo's town. While dressing for a dinner party, the wealthy Guilia discovers her husband's affair with her best friend and vows revenge. Next door, a family prepares their vintage Dodge for a drive through the streets. A call girl ties up a lawyer while, unbeknownst to him, three men await the right moment to break into his office. Across the hall, a woman downs pills in a lonely suicide attempt. Two young men hide out in a bedroom smoking dope; one of them has some dynamite. As midnight approaches, each group draws closer to grotesque tragedy.

Two anarchistic brothers live by petty thievery and try to recover from their Catholic upbringing. Bandiera and Rabbino were children when they pushed their drunk of a father out of a window for killing their pet sheep. When a girl is raped by her father, she is brought by young "rescuers" to the home of the two brothers who then watch their friends take advantage of her sexually. The brothers take her in, and the three live happy and celibate if not uneventful lives until the brother's are sent to jail for stealing.
