Nikki (Michela Quattrociocche) tem 18 anos e divide seu tempo entre os estudos no último ano do ensino médio e a ida em festas e clubes, juntamente com os amigos. Alex (Raoul Bova) tem 37 anos e uma carreira de sucesso como publicitário. Abandonado pela mulher que considerava ser seu "eterno amor", a vida social de Alex agora se restringe aos antigos amigos. Um dia a vida deles se cruzam, quando acidentalmente Nikki bate sua moto no carro de Alex.

A sanitary battalion of Italian Army is sent to Sorman oasis in Lybia during the Africa campaign in 1940. Soon an Italian missionary, living nearby, succeed to transform the occupation by Italian Army in a kind of humanitarian mission. In fact all the battalion is involved to help the local population.
