História
Goblin Gang is a fluidly changing group of award winning students from Newport High School's Advanced Media Production Program. They consist of students: Rishi Baiju, Jason Lu, Kristofer Navarro Rodriguez, Grant Vu, and Eugene Yang. Together they have directed the award winning short "Goblins are Real" as well as the short "Lazarus Lazarus", which is commonly believed to have been snubbed of an award at the NFFTY 48 Hour Challenge competition. Before forming the official group, members Rishi Baiju, Grant Vu, and Jason Lu created the series of short films deemed by fans as "The Room Below Series", though the series of shorts did not receive much audience acclaim, the small fan base and general positive critical reception of the films is often cited as a precursor for the groups success. The signature style and characterization of Goblin Gangs films have dubbed the term, "He Goin' Goblin Mode", referring to the similar aspects of the arcs for the characters featured in the groups films. Common contributors, but not official members of the group include: Jack Anderson, Manmeet Ranu, Marcus Yao. Though the group was originally formed by teacher Steven Hamada, the groups name "Goblin Gang" was not approved by the mentor. Upcoming works from the groups members include: "Josh and Tiff: Rock my World", "The Milk Fields" (Working Title), "Red Bull Commercial", and "A Void".
