Um ano após a perda de seu pai, Ridley e sua mãe, Gloria, mudam-se para a Austrália Ocidental para morar com o avô de Ridley, Spencer. Uma vez lá, Spencer tenta se conectar com Ridley, mas todos os esforços geralmente levam ao conflito. Ridley acaba perdido nas profundezas do outback em uma missão para tentar voltar para casa.
