We'll Be Seeing Us Again
Bình
On a festive spring day in 1940, two young quan họ singers fall in love. But their relationship is soon ruthlessly disrupted by class injustices, imposed upon both—and many other Vietnamese—by the ongoing French colonial rule and the looming Japanese occupation.
The Neighbor's Son
Ms. Thuan lives in a coastal village. Tuc Scar is her neighbor with a bad past: he was imprisoned for stealing state property. Tuc Scar suspects that Thuan was the one who denounced him, so he hates her very much. Released from prison, he intends to take revenge. But while in prison, his son was wandering without support, and Thuan took him in. Tuc Scar has come to his senses, not letting Tu At, a delinquent boss, be dragged into the path of sin. Unable to entice Tuc Scar, Tu At arrested his son and murdered Ms. Thuan. The police surrounded Tu At when he was looking for a way to escape.
