Aubrey Lionel Wisberg (October 20, 1909 – March 14, 1990) was a screenwriter, director, and producer.
He immigrated to the United States in 1921, attended New York University and Columbia University, and married Barbara Duberstein. Wisberg made his career as a screenwriter, director, and producer with credits in more than 40 films including The Big Fix, The Man from Planet X, Hercules in New York, The Neanderthal Man, Captive Women, Port Sinister and Captain Kidd and the Slave Girl. Three of his early screenplays were World War II movies: Counter-Espionage and Submarine Raider in 1942 and They Came to Blow Up America in 1943. Wisberg's 1945 film The Horn Blows at Midnight starred the comedian Jack Benny.
Wisberg was associate producer for Edward Small Productions; founder and executive producer for Wisberg Productions; and co-founder of American Pictures Corporation and Mid-Century Films. Production credits for Mid-Century Film include, The Man From Planet X (1951), Return to Treasure Island (1954) and Murder Is My Beat (1955).
Wisberg was the author of several books, including Patrol Boat 999, Savage Soldiers, This Is the Life and Bushman at Large. Wisberg was also a radio and television dramatist in the United States, Australia, and England; a radio diffusionist in Paris; and a journalist. He won the International Unity Award, from the Inter-Racial Society, for The Burning Cross. Aubrey Wisberg died of cancer in 1990 in New York City. He was 80 years old.

Also released as Montana Mike, Heaven Only Knows is an offbeat western with fantasy overtones. Hard-bitten gambling boss Brian Donlevy rules his frontier community with brawn and bullets. To his dismay, Donlevy discovers that he has a guardian angel (Robert Cummings), who shows up in the guise of an Eastern tenderfoot. The angel has been sent from Above to save Donlevy's soul, and to that end encourages the one-time villain to squire a minister's daughter (Jorja Curtwright) rather than his usual dance-hall girls. Donlevy is also given tips on winning against his enemies without resorting to gunplay. The gambler finally redeems himself with Heaven by rescuing the angel from a lynch mob (how can you lynch an angel?) Heaven Only Knows deserves an "E" for Effort for bringing a fresh twist to the venerable western genre.

On December 6, 1941, Captain Yamanada of the Japanese aircraft carrier "Hiranamu", orders full steam ahead for Pearl Harbor. His ship encounters and sinks an American yacht and the single survivor, Sue Curry, is rescued by an American submarine, the "Sea Serpent", commanded by Commander Chris Warren. He hears her story and attempts to radio a warning to Pearl Harbor. Yamanada, hearing the signals, orders the airlines jammed, and then sends his son into the air to sink the sub. The attack fails, after the sub makes a crash dive, but they fail in their warning attempts. The next morning, December 7th, the men on the sub hear the story of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, and devise a desperate plan to sink the Japanese carrier by letting the carrier know their position. The carrier comes in search of the submarine.
