Inspirado no diário espiritual de Santa Faustina, narra as revelações de Jesus a ela, e as experiências espirituais extraordinárias que ela viveu. Em 1931, Jesus lhe confia uma missão especial. Ele lhe apareceu vestido de branco, tendo a mão direita levanta no ato de abençoar e a esquerda pousava no peito, deixando sair dois grandes raios, um vermelho e outro branco. Disse-lhe Jesus: "Pinta uma imagem de acordo com o modelo que você está vendo, com a inscrição: Jesus, eu confio em Vós! Desejo que esta imagem seja venerada no mundo inteiro". Faustina dedicou toda sua vida para relançar no mundo a mensagem da misericórdia de Deus que acompanha cada pessoa.

A story about the life of a woman, two men of her life and her son, Janek Garbus, seen through the eyes of the latter - "conceived by an NKVD uncle on the night after the Soviet army entered".

This sumptuously photographed period drama is set in 1791 Vienna. Maximilian Bardo, an opportunistic 18-year old Viennese man with aspirations to rise above his bourgeois upbringing, looks for a chance to shoehorn himself into the nobility. His hopes lead him to the castle of a wealthy inventor, Alexander Plant. It is here that a strange story is played out, as Maximilian, full of naive illusions and innocent ideals of what it means to be wealthy and noble, quickly loses his innocence. Falling prey to the jaded aristocrats in residence, he is cruelly initiated into their decadent games.

The reunion of a group of former medical students results in a flood of bitter memories.
