Roy e Jessie formam o perfeito casal americano que decide viajar de Beijing para Moscou no lendário Expresso Transiberiano. Durante a longa viagem eles ficam amigos de outro casal de turistas. Mas nem tudo é o que parece. Sem perceberem Roy e Jessie entram em uma alucinada trama de trafico de drogas, tortura e assassinatos tornando-se alvos de uma investigação comandada pelo ex-detetive da KGB, Grinko.
