Almkvist, a local policeman and former lover of Vera's, contacts her while investigating the death of one of the refugees. Natas has a list of agents operating in the host country and wants to sell them to the Americans. However before he can do so, Vera tries to kill him, after an argument about getting her parents out of Liquidatzia.

Sonja Broberg needs to make extra money so she offers to help the author Johannes Porshammar with his latest novel about single mothers, a subject he knows very little of. However, Sonja is also single but borrows a young boy from a kindergarten, claiming to be his mother. Plot by Mattias Thuresson.

The station-master Fabian Bom is a very meticulous person, and he makes sure that the trains leaves exactly - on the second. To him, nothing could be more important than duty, efficiency and punctuality, in fact, his sense of duty is clearly perverted. His beloved Plum-Plum, the major's daughter, is infatuated with army officers. To regain her attention, he joins the infantry. Kalle Magnus Berg is a kind bailiff in Gamla Stan (Old Town) in Stockholm. He helps out "clients" by supporting them with money from his own pocket. His neighbor is a jazz musician who plays at a restaurant for a living.

This might not look too good in a prejudiced society of the 40s with a boxing priest, but Charlie is determent to find a way.

Trysil-Knut is a Norwegian film from 1942. Directed by veteran Rasmus Breistein and is a ski themed melodrama about the legendary skier Trysil-Knut from Trysil. He is a powerful patriot, who in the early 1800s prevent that a war breaks out between Norway and Sweden using his skiing skills. While that goes on Knut is also preparing a court case of fraud to determine the ownership of his fathers old farm.

"The Ingegerd Bremssen Case" - The young nurse Ingegerd Bremssen walks on a lonely road in the woods and gets attacked by a man. He rapes her and disappears. A passing car picks up Ingegerd and drives her to a mental hospital, where she is taken care of. But she has suffered a severe shock and considers her life completely ruined.

"A Crime" - A murder is committed in an apartment building in Stockholm. And afterward all clues point toward the Justice of the Supreme Court and his sons. But who did it? And why? And will they be able to live with the guilt?

The tailor Tosse is ordered to return to his old regiment to practice what he learned many years ago. But he asks his assistant Loffe to go there instead of himself. Everything is fine until Loffe gets the same order - at the same regiment. When Tosse comes to the regiment, it becomes a case of mistaken identity. When Tore returns from a visit to Aslaug in the mountains, Knut and his sons beat him black and blue. As it's impossible for him to use the road anymore, Tore has to figure out another way to go to Aslaug. Next Saturday he crosses the fiord in a rowing-boat. He stops at a fifty meter high wall of rock, and starts climbing it, hoping to reach Aslaug at the top.

A 1917 Swedish drama film directed by Victor Sjöström, based on a 1913 novel by Selma Lagerlöf. It was the first in a series of successful Lagerlöf adaptions by Sjöström, made possible by a deal between Lagerlöf and A-B Svenska Biografteatern (later AB Svensk Filmindustri) to adapt at least one Lagerlöf novel each year. Lagerlöf had for many years denied any proposal to let her novels be adapted for film, but after seeing Sjöström's Terje Vigen she finally decided to give her allowance.
